I grew up appreciating photography because my dad is a photographer and I have been in front of his camera my whole life. It wasn't until my wedding in 2002 that I knew I wanted to photograph other people's most important moments, and tell their most precious stories.
When I saw my wedding images it took me back to that day and was a visual representation of how I felt in that moment. I knew that long after my memories of my wedding day had faded that I could always look at my wedding album and be instantly transported back to our first day as husband and wife.
After studying photography and painting at the University of Colorado, I worked for several years with children and witnessed the wonder and excitement in those kids that all parents wish they could hold onto forever. With the birth of my two children I realized that I couldn't put my camera down as I strived to capture their personalities.
My goal when photographing your family is to freeze forever in time a moment when you felt completely loved, when you were blissfully happy, when your children were new and untouched by the world, when you realized that it doesn't get any better, when you feel pride and heartache as your family grows. I want you to be able to re-live your most cherished memories and moments. I want to capture for you a precious moment and then make that moment last.
My photographic style could probably be described as fun and natural. I love capturing expressions, personalities, real moments- your story. I want to create personal artwork for your home- artwork that matters. Each session is designed especially with you in mind. I will give you a variety of color, black and white, sepia as well as custom color options. I will create artworks for your family that are as unique as you are, that tell the story of your family, and that celebrate the most important moments in your life. I am so excited to get to know you and create something that you will absolutely love!
We have several different session options available for you. Session fees are for the photographer's time and are due at the time of booking with a credit card. Cancellations and rescheduling needs to be done 72 hours before your session.
This plan is designed to make it affordable and convenient for new families to capture all the most important moments of their baby's first year starting with their maternity portrait and ending with their first birthday picture! Choose 3-6 sessions for $49 each . You must pay for at least three sessions to get started. These sessions are done in your home or at the studio.
These sessions are as fun as your imagination will allow! We can shoot in the studio, in your home or backyard, or at a location of your choosing! Not sure where you want to go? Just ask for suggestions! Session fee is $149.
Senior sessions are all about you! We want you to feel like a model, have a great time, and end up with portraits that capture exactly who you are and that make your friends jealous! The session fee is $149 and we can shoot anywhere you would like! Bring a friend along for a buddy session and you each will save $25 on your session fee. Our Girls' Only images are a fun and important celebration of women and their inner as well as outer beauty! These sessions are done in your home or our studio and are for parties of one-six friends. If you would like more information about packages and pricing on these special sessions, please contact us! Consider the legacy you would like to leave to your children, a gift for a significant other, or a personal celebration of you! A fun, girls' portrait session that shows off you and your unique personality! Consider starting your bachelorette party with us or scheduling a party with your closest girlfriends!
A personal consultation is done in our studio or over the phone. We will discuss your style, your portrait needs, a location for your shoot, and clothing. Chatting about the details before the day of your shoot will make the day go smoother and therefore result in less stress! Yay!
Everyone has different needs and we offer a wide variety of products and choices for you to showcase your images. Most families will invest from $500- $1500 some more, some less. The most important thing is that we help you figure out the best way to showcase your portraits within your budget.
Within a few days of your session your images will be available for you to view online in your own personal image gallery. You may have even gotten a sneak peek of a few favs on my blog within 24 hours of your shoot. When you schedule your session you will also be asked to schedule your ordering appointment. This will be within 7-10 days of your session and is a time for you to come in and view your images in a beautiful slideshow set to music. This session will give you a close look at your portraits and we will help you narrow down your favorites and make your final selections. This will also be a time to discuss framing, photo products such as custom cards, and gallery wrapped canvas. Your product balance will be due at this time.
Quality takes time therefore orders generally take between 3-5 weeks to complete. Custom framing and photo products take a little longer, but we pride ourselves on being fast. We work with only the best so you may get your stuff sooner than you expected! Trust us, its worth the wait.
Ordering personal artwork for your home is indeed an investment, one that we hope will continue to stay in your family for generations. Therefore, in order to help you get everything that you really want, we offer a 2, 4, or 6 month payment plan with no interest. We require 2 credit card numbers and will charge your primary card on the first of each month. Just ask!
Referrals are the most important part of our business so we deeply appreciate you passing along our name and the experience you had with us. We have some great referral programs in place that benefit both you and your friends! If you have 25 friends and family members who would be interested in trying our services we will create a unique card for you to send them featuring images from your session. This card has an offer for them to try us out for a discount. For each card that comes back in, we will credit you for the same discount off your next purchase with us! Everyone wins! Also, if you are interested in being a senior model and are chosen to represent your school, we will pay you in cash for each referral you send us. There is no gift more loved than gift certificates- right? Consider giving a new family the gift of portraits for their new baby, or helping a couple getting married be able to afford the album they really want. We have gift certificates available and would even be happy to send them to the lucky recipient for you. Just ask!
